TERMS OF SALE

Lead Times

Our furniture range is manufactured in small batches, and carries lead times of between 2 and 12 weeks, depending on stock availability at the time of order. Please contact us to check current stock.

Bespoke items and variations on standard pieces are made to order and carry a longer lead time This can be up to 12 weeks and on rare occasions even longer. We will give an estimated delivery date at the point of order, but due to the nature of bespoke manufacturing, we are unable to always guarantee lead times on such items.

We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible should there be a potential extension on the quoted lead time.

Delivery

Items are dispatched directly to our customers from our manufacturers in the UK and mainland Europe. Delivery is to the customer’s front door only, within working hours (9am — 5pm) Monday to Friday. If delivery is required outside of these hours, a surcharge may be payable. Unpacking and assembly is not included in delivery prices. Transit time is entirely dependant on delivery location. Please contact us for an estimation. A timed slot is not always possible, but the appointed courier will contact the customer directly to arrange a suitable delivery date. If the customer does not honor this date, a redelivery charge may apply.

The customer must ensure that there are no access restrictions which will prevent the ordered item from being installed in its intended location.

Door/corridor widths and turning circles must be checked before ordering.

Lind + Almond cannot accept responsibility should the ordered piece not fit into its intended location because of access restrictions. Full dimensions and weights of each package can be provided.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to define any labeling requirements needed to ensure that the receiver accepts the item prior to dispatch. Should any item be returned to us due to incorrect or missing labeling information supplied by the buyer, the buyer is liable to cover any redelivery charges.

The customer must arrange for suitable lifting help to help on the day of delivery to move crates into their home.

Import and Customs Fees

The listed pricing includes for delivery, but does not include any applicable local import charges, taxes or customs clearance charges. It is the customer’s responsibility to check these charges locally prior to ordering. Please note, USA customers will be contacted to complete paperwork for customs clearance - failure to do so in the required timeframe may incur storage fees. For UK, EU and USA customers we can provide general advice, please ask.

Bed Assembly

The Sanders Bed requires some assembly, for which instructions will be provided. It will be delivered in two boxes. It is important that the bed head is fixed to a wall. This is via a split batten system which will be provided. Suitable wall plugs will be required.

Care and Maintenance

Timber and marble finishes should be dusted periodically with a soft, lint-free cloth. Water or chemicals should not be used to clean surfaces. For particularly stubborn dirt, a very small amount of washing up liquid on a damp cloth may be used.

A small amount of natural bees wax may be used periodically to help protect timber surfaces. It should not be used on rattan elements.

Brass finishes should be dusted periodically with a soft, lint-free cloth. Water should not be used.

Harsh chemical cleaning products should be avoided on all finishes.

Metal Finishes

Our specialised metal finishes are entirely hand-produced, and as such is always a degree of tonal variation. This variation should not be considered a fault, but an intrinsic part of the product, and what we believe makes the piece unique and beautiful.

Due to the oxidation process of our patinas, we can not guarantee an absolute match to a control sample. Metal patinas may continue to develop over time. This should not be considered a fault but a fundamental part of a graceful ageing process. Most of our metal surfaces are finished with a protective layer of wax, however a lacquer can be applied on request to offer greater protection from further oxidation.

Metal cleaners should not be used on our metal surfaces as they will remove the decorative patina.

Stones & Marbles

Stone is a natural material and will always feature variations in veining and tonality. As such, each piece is entirely unique. It is not possible to guarantee an exact match to reference swatch image, but typical slab images can be provided on request.

Bespoke Works

We cannot be held responsible for design faults arising from bespoke work manufactured to a client’s design which has not been prototyped. In all instances of bespoke work we recommend a prototyping phase is undergone.

Damage & Missing Items

All items must be checked on delivery, and any damage or omissions must be reported to us within 48 hours. It is crucial that packaging is not disposed of until the piece is thoroughly checked for damage, as without it we are unable to arrange a return. We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused during installation or through misuse. All shipments are insured, and should an item arrive damage or become lost in transit we will make a claim on behalf of the customer. If issues are not reported to us within 48 hours of arrival of goods, we will be unable to make an insurance claim and any repair/replacement costs will be the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

As these pieces are made to order, we unfortunately are unable to accept returns should the item no longer be wanted.

Payments

We can accept payment in Visa, Mastercard, Paypal or direct bank transfer. Paying via card carries 3% surcharge. Paying via Paypal in GBP carries a 3% surcharge, and in any other currency a 5% surcharge.

We recommend wise.com for all payments from non-UK accounts.
